Umm help plz 7x + 87n - (8x + 3t) x 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is It Multiple Choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it said solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you solving for n or x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im guessing x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7x + 87n - (8x + 3t) x 5 7x + 87n - 8x - 3t x 5 -x + 87n - 3t x 5 ok...I am stuck am I supposed to multiply the 5 by -3t, or (-x + 87n - 3t) x 5 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Waitt How Did Uu Juss Remove These ( ) <<<< Without Distributive Property ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i hate MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not see how you can solve for x because there is no equals sign....I think all you can do is simplify. I distributed the - through the parenthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I am confused with the x 5......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ehhhh .-. Ightt Holl Onn ,...I Think U Are Suppose To Distributive The X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

math is a b**** and reading is its sister.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol.....so true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ikr but i love Language Arts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not sure if you multiply the 5 by just the -3t or the rest of the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathstudent55 .....we need your assistance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero ...help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hartnn ...help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

somebody will come

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you ask it, they will come....lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm I Can Even Find Example On A Multiple Step Equation With 3 Different Varibles .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*Cant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that x^5 or multiplied by 5 ?

hartnn (hartnn):

solve for 'x' in 7x + 87n - (8x + 3t) x 5 ?? well, as kallie said, there's no equation to solve.... isn't it 7x + 87n = (8x + 3t) x 5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you just simplify...right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.....Elysium.....is there an equal sign in the problem....did you write the problem correctly

hartnn (hartnn):

we can simplify what she wrote as question, but if we need to solve for x, we need an equation with an "=" sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was simplifying but I didn't know what to do with the x5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe @Elysium can try to re-write the problem a little more clearly and fix it if she wrote it wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree...when she comes back....
