OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyone??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@texaschic101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is A. i can tell you why. gimmie a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

standard deviation alterations or each option: A) 13.26 B) 10.10 C) 11.00 D) 9.9 E) 9.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont you need to find the Variance to find the standard deviation??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an easier way of estimating though would be to consider that the number we are looking for needs to be an outlier and must not effect the number of plot points in out data. so the farthest value from the mean with the smallest amount of change to the data is it in a nutshell

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes you can use variance to find standard deviation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill post the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm just know that the Standard deviation is the square root of the variance.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{variance}\] =Standard Deviation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or \[Standard Deviation ^{2} =Variance\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both can go back and forwards it depends n the info the problem gives you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, but to find the variance, you need to to make a chart and stuff...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this false??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep you can. or you can use a graphing calculator like we do in AP stat :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh smart! how tho?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i answered another question somehwere else the sum must be zero yes . so true. ill give example.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Data set: 4,5,6 mean: 5 4-5= -1 5-5=0 6-5= 1 -1+0+1=0 !:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so yeah. thats the answer to that one. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would this be 11^2? so 121??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Soda Pop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone help me in the question i just posted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont see the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please Help! Im Begging!!!What is the product of two and three over five times three and four over seven in simplest form? nine and two over seven six and twelve over thirty-five six and twenty over twenty-one five and seven over twenty-one:c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i had to think for a minute then i realized oh yeah its not diving by n so it has no other choice lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ellews who was that for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wasnt for me Cause its none of the options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Someone Help me With My Question :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and its not sqaured so it cant be a deviation or variance so its just a simple expression :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can try @yika3040 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what? @Ellews , so what would this answer be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THERE NOW I POSTED IT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zero is your answer @4sodapop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you @Ellews

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i still dont get how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so i can brake down the formula for you if you would like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sum_{i=1}^{n} (X i- X \bar")\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which problem are you doing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the -big "E" looking thing is called a sigma. it pretty much just means add -n stands for how mnay numbers we have ina data set.EX: 1,2,3,6 n=4 -i= stands for what term number we began evaluating the sequence with. for EX: 1,2,3,6 but i=3 then when we find the sum, standar deviation, the mean, etc we start from the 3rd term. so 3+6=9. 9 would be the sum of our sequence. -and last in the parenthesizes it pretty much is saying each number minus the mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the sum of all out numbers minus the mean is what the equation is pretty much saying :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, is this true or false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x with the line or "bar" over the top is the mean of a sample

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im soo lost..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Interquatile Range= Quartile 1- Quartile 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you tell me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and remeber a five number summary includes: Minnimum, Quartile 1, the median, quartile 3, and the maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*remember

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt it Q3-Q1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh yes god sorry donig 3 things at once. Q3-Q1 is the IQR now knoeing the 5 number summary can you find it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hint: the answer is yes. yes you can.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is it asking? i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you "hint the answer" again please. AKA just tell me!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ellews
