Okay, i have a list of questions about chords. the first one is: What does a slash mean in a chord symbol?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A slash on a chord means its a chord inversion. However, its most important job is to tell you the lowest-sounding note on the chord (aka the bass note). For example: Gm/F# would mean playing a regular G minor chord, BUT putting F# as the bass note. So the chord would be F# G Bb D on the piano or guitar or whatever instrument you play. Hope I helped!

Thanks so much!

No problem :)

So basically your doing the 3rd inversion I think it is?
