ALGEBRA 2 HELP!! What are 3 key characteristics a histogram reveals about a set of data?
The histogram shows the number of samples or measurements, the range of the outcomes of these samples or measurements and finally, the distribution of these samples over a selected number of 'bíns'. Once you've collected your measurements, e.g. the height of the people in your class, you have a number N, which is the number of people you've measured. Also, you have a range of the height, from the lowest to the highest measured value. To create your histogram, you need to define some categories, e.g. 'low', 'medium' and 'high', so a total of 3 here and you need to specify the limits of what low, medium or high means. If you have those 3 'bins', you can put each of the measurements in the bin to which it belongs. This gives you a graph showing the distribution of your class mates heights over those bins, which we call a histogram.
oh my gosh thanks so much!! @NLCircle
