You have to divide the 4 degree expression by x-2 Then you'll get a cubic polynomial which you again divide till you get a quadratic equation which you can easily factorize! Thus there will be 4 roots [2,P,Q,R] OR You can use f(2) is the equation and substiute in all the x in the 4 degree polynomial! :) And you'll then get f(2) = 0 Which proves that x-2 is a factor of the polynomial! :)
