I need to graph the parametric equations (x = 3 sin^3t) (y = 3 cos^3t) and if someone could work through it with me that would be awesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from the basic identity that sin^2x + cos^2x=1, x^2/3 + y^2/3 = a^2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I need am not supposed to combine them I dont think, since it is parametric

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't get you. could you please rephrase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parametric equations are different than regular, where you put in a t value and get each x and y value for the t value you inputed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. and doing so, you get an equation in x and y which you plot.

Do you get it?
