OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Sunshinegirl, be careful with Pratush's formula because that gives you the are of a triangle and you're looking for the perimeter.

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

well then here find the third side by pythagoras theorem and add all the sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:-). There are some very beautiful triangles, one of which is the 3-4-5 triangle. If you have such a triangle, you don't have to use Phytagoras but can already predict the 3rd side if the other two are given. Can you apply that to this particular triangle ?

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

one of them @NLCircle is 7, 24 25 :P my fav :P

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

@SunshineGirl do you know the pythgoras theorem ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Pratyush : correct, that's the principle. If you see that logic, it will also tell you immediately what the length of the diagonal side is.

Honestly, I just started geometry and I have the worst time figuring out how to work through formulas :/
