First thing you have to do is distribute sqrt(6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually cancel that. just pull out 4b from both terms in the parentheses.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sqrt(36) reduces to 6. You'll get 4bsqrt(6)(12-1) = 4(11)bsqrt(6) = 44bsqrt(6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! How about this one? I don't know why its tricky for me :\

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember that when you multiply things in sqrt, you can multiply the insides and then sqrt the whole thing. IN this case, sqrt(6k)sqrt(3) = sqrt(18k) 4*3k = 12k 12k*sqrt(18k) = 12sqrt(18)k^3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And thats the answer? Or is there more because thats not listed as a choice?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

18 has a 9 in it ... other than that :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you factor the sqrt(6)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no
