Write an equation for the transformation of y=x Vertical stretch by a factor of twelve

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to stretch things vertically by 12, you just multiply the right side by 12 to get y = 12x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! would you be able to help with one more?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure go for it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang on let me find a way to send you it

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically how do I find a linear model for each set of data so that the 2 quantities will be equal

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

can you post a screenshot of it all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill try give me a little time

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it took so long

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that's ok

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hmm can you make it any bigger? like zoom in more that's way too small

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can do this 1) hit printscreen 2) open up MS paint 3) paste 4) save it 5) attach it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay hang on

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this big enough

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

does print screen not work?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it's still a bit small

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay one more try

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the printscreen key should be around the insert, home, page up, etc keys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i printed it out

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok but if you click the picture, you'll see it's very very small

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first question has an answer in it but it is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what the heck i sent the largest files

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there we gooo

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok that's much better, thanks

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you have a TI 83 or TI 84 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i could find one online i gueess

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok let me find you a regression calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

try this one out and tell me what you think http://ncalculators.com/statistics/linear-regression-calculator.htm
