OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do we find the probability of two independent events?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can calculate the chances of two or more independent events by multiplying the chances.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what Bout dependent events?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Modify the chance of the second event happening given the first event has happened and then multiply.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

division? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey can you help with like 2 more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool. okay “The calculation of_________probability requires a number of trials?”

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Binomial.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is 7th grade math r u sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. I am sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. um, next question “how do you calculate the expected success of an event?”

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

You are giving away the answer again >8(

Just because I give the answer doesn't mean I am not helping, because I was going to give an explanation with it. There is certain questions that you can give the answer with an explanation so that they know how I got the answer.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

But you are working BACKWARDS from the answer to the question. During a test this will not help the student will it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually it would. explain the answer after the answer sometimez helps

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Not on a TEST, it will not help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok(

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Even multiple choice answers are designed to trick the guessers :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okkkm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly, everyone has their own opinion and you can't go around threatening to banned or suspend people because you have an opinion that I am not helping.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

This is not a matter of "opinion," it is a fact of the Learning process.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Let's help with “how do you calculate the expected success of an event?”

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas @brittany12345678910 ?
