what is the aquare root of 1+i

OpenStudy (rogue):

Well, you can't directly take the square root of 1 + i. So how about you algebraically manipulate the number. Let x = 1 + i Then, square both sides and simplify what you get. Then, take the fourth root of both sides to get the square root of x, which is equal to the square root of 1 + i.
