The paradox of the Revolutionary Era was the fact that property and liberty was closely linked together. They believed that to take away one property was to take away their liberty. Yet the property of the Loyalist and the creditors depreciated greatly.

The paradox of the revolutionary era is that despite the massive advantages provided by the geographic isolation and bountiful resources of the North American continent, the very arguments used to justify secession from the British Empire also undermined the legitimacy of any national government capable of overseeing such a far-flung population, or establishing uniform laws that knotted together the thirteen sovereign states and three or four distinct geographic and economic regions. I know you already got help but it doesn't hurt to have more help lol...
