2^x * 4^x+5=4^2x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your syntax is ambiguous. Is your equation \[2^x\left(4^{x+5}\right)=4^{2x-1}~~~?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its easy just do the samething kinda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4=2^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the new equation is \[2^{x}\times 2^{2x+10}=4^{2x-1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so basically when u multiply with same bases than the exponents should add to each other so x+2x+10 which is 3x+10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4^{3x+10}=4^{2x-1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the bases are same the equation becomes 3x+10=2x-1 and the answer will be x=-11
