I Don't Understand this question at all! Use the GCF of the terms to write the expression as the product of two factors with integer coefficients. -2x3 - 4x2 + 4x A. x(-2x2 - 4x + 4) B. -2x(x2 + 2x - 2) C. x(-2x2 + 2x - 2) D. -2x(-2x2 + 2x - 2)

The GCF is the common term among all of the terms. They are asking you to factor out the largest number you can from the original equation.

Okay so its been a very long time since I have done factoring. could you help explain steps in order to figure this problem out please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this case all 3 terms have a -2x in them so you can factor out a -2x leaving -2x(x2 +2x -2)

Basically you divide each term by the largest term in each term in the original equation.

Yeah i see that now, thank you!
