How do I find the perimeter for a regular hexagon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the perimeter of a regular hexagon you just add up all of the sides...

Did you want to know how to find the area of a regular hexagon?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

"hex" means 6 perimeter = 6*side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area = (½)(apothem)(perimeter) (P.S. apothem is like a radius.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A hexagon is a collection of six equilateral triangles with their apexes on a single point and their bases forming the hexagon. The circumference (perimeter) is six times the length of the side. A side is a long radial - center to point on the perimeter. The diameter from point to opposite point on the perimeter is twice the long radial length - multiply by three for the perimeter.
