@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

which one do would you choose for starters ... and why

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since they all have the same basic form ... the only thing that differs between them is the inequality signs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and D would narrow it down

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so, you think A or D is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i'm saying A and D are out

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i agree then; and why are they out? the only other thing to do would to be test an obvious point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is B ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first of the inequality signs and

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lets test B, with the point 0,0 since it is clearly on one side of the boundary line y <= 3x – 1 0 0 ----------- 0 <= -1 , is this a true statement ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zero is not less than -1 so no that's incorrect

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the B is incorrect as well .. id go with C then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok should i check it first?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

solid boundary line means solid line under inequality (or equal to part) and since B is false ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you can if you want to :)
