describe the error and fix it : the sum of a number n and 4 is no more than 13 , n+4<13

OpenStudy (debbieg):

"Not more than 13" does not mean "less than 13". If n=9, then the sum is "no more than 13" but does not satisfy the inequality. Now, you tell me - how can you fix it?

I dont know i am lost

OpenStudy (debbieg):

\[x <10\] means that x is less than 10. Which means that x can NOT be = 10. \[x \le10\] means that x is not more than 10.... but COULD BE =10.

OpenStudy (debbieg):

So n+4<13 means that the sum on the left is LESS THAN 13. That is different than saying that it is NO MORE THAN 13.

Oh ok thanks
