Use a calculator to find the value of the trigonometric function to four decimal places. sec 8
Is it B?
Nope. Is the issue that you don't know how to input it on your calculator?
I do, but I wasnt sure about my answer.
And apparently my skepticism was right
Well, I just checked, and the answer depends on whether you are in degrees or radians. In degrees it is B, in radians it is A.
Interesting. 3 answers, but only 1 thats correct
This curriculum is trying to fail me
Secant is 1/cos @boricua86
So Im guessing it doesnt specify degrees or radians?
I screen shotted the problem, that's the whole thing.
I would say the best way to guess then is based on what kind of problems you've been doing recently. If only one is correct, I would use the one that most resembles recent problems. Have you been dealing with degrees up to this point?
I don't really know, I can show you my last test.
@Psymon I might have gotten them mixed.
http://www.sosmath.com/trig/Trig5/trig5/trig5.html check for yourself what secant is @boricua86 and no worries if you mixed them up, we all make mistakes.
Yeah, usually trigonometry stuff uses degrees in the beginning then. If so, then I would use the answer that is 1.0098.
Thanks
