A spherical storage tank has a diameter of 14 ft. How many cubic feet of water will it hold? (Use pi = 22/7 .)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diameter is 14 ft. then, radius is 7ft because radius= half of diamter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If i recall, sphere is 4(pi)(r^2)/3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! thank you!:)

Directrix (directrix):

@katherine.ok Doesn't the volume formula for a sphere have an r^3 as part of it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.r^3, not r^2. I should have used wiki or wolfram.
