I can't figure out the process of calculating the slant height

Directrix (directrix):

The slant height is the hypotenuse of the red and green triangle where one leg is the height of the solid and the other leg is half of the base edge. So, use the Pythagorean Theorem. L² = 12² + 5² where L is the slant height

Directrix (directrix):

12² + 5² = ? @mollsy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so as long as you have the measurements to two sides of the triangle you will be able to figure out the slant height? and \[l^{2}\]= 13

Directrix (directrix):

13 is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thank you!

Directrix (directrix):

Happy to help.
