An object is moving at the constant rate of 32 feet per second. How many yards will it travel in one minute

OpenStudy (ja1):

ok so how many feet are in one yard?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.3

OpenStudy (ja1):

Not quite, there are 3 feet in 1 yard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (ja1):

So if we do a little multiplication we get that in 1 second you travel 10 yards and 2 feet, now can you multiply 30 by 60 on a calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1800

OpenStudy (ja1):

Yes perfect, so now we have that but remember we have those extra 2 feet for every second, so we need to multiply 2 by 60 which is 120, now how can we get 120 feet to show as yards?

OpenStudy (ja1):

@hdmartin7 you still there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 1920 i figured it out

OpenStudy (ja1):

Not quite

OpenStudy (ja1):

That answer is not correct @hdmartin7
