8x+27=84 7x-27=50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are these 2 different linear equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the same problem if your that's what you mean. solving for x and x should be the same in both equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these are graphing questions right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I suppose you call it that

OpenStudy (uri):

This one is easy, Add them together 27 and -27 will be cancelled @JoStudy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow uri you've changed! I did And this is what I came up with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8x+27=84 7x-27=50 Adding the two together gives me 15x=134 134/15=134/15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But when I substitute it into the equation it doesn't solve the same

OpenStudy (uri):

Honey, 8x+27=84 7x-27=50 ======= 15x=134 x=134/15 x=8.93

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh! sorry my calculator was just solving into fractions :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oppsy! Thanks uri! :)

OpenStudy (uri):

Yw don't wanna find y just x? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where's the y at?

OpenStudy (uri):

Ah ya no :P sorry!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=8.93

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob :) thanks uri err pretha :P

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Woah A CEO on her website! JUST AWESOME!

OpenStudy (uri):

HAHA :)
