If the slope of two points comes out to be 1/-1, then can I use it simplified as -1 to get the slope intercept and point slope form instead of the fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, because \(\frac{1}{-1}=-1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like if you computed the slope and got \(\frac{6}{2}\) you would use \(3\) the fraction is just the way of computing the slope if it turns out to be a whole number then that is what you use
