OpenStudy (loser66):

do you know what the equation of a circle is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

OpenStudy (loser66):

correct, so, you have 3 given points, right? just plug those point into the formula and solve the system. Let say origin is \((x_1, y_1\)), plug it into the formula , you have 1st equation (1,0) is \(x_2, y_2\), plug it into the formula , you have 2nd equation (0,2) is \(x_3, y_3\) , plug it into the formula, you have 3rd equation. You have 3 equations, 3 variables h, k, r. You can solve for those variables. After getting the value of h, k, r. Plug them back into the formula you have required equation of the circle
