Hi guys I have a few simple questions that are incredibly hard for me since I suck at math! Can anyone help? :(

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I will try though

It's basically asking me to draw a sketch and label it, and then name 3 collinear points A,B, and C.. Any idea what that means? I'm soooo lost..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P.s. This is Geometry

OpenStudy (goformit100):

it means you have to draw three points in such way that they line on the same line. As lines on same line are always collinear.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know what collinear mean?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Could you state the problem as it appears in your book?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u gotta help her to understand what collinear is though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No :/ see I was supposed to take Algebra 1 and then geo but they put me in without taking algebra..so I have no idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

collinear is basically straight line and it says three points so a line that has three points in it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wolf1728- Draw a sketch and label as needed (no pictures or anything) a) 3 collinear points, A,B, and C b)opposite rays JR--> and JC --> the arows are over the letters

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

hannah - That's exactly how the problem is worded?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Collinear means they are on the same line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks that makes sense, I just wish I knew what the JR and JC have to do with it. And yes it's pretty weird. I think the be is supposed to be a second question but thats exactly how it's worded.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B*

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

hannah - yes it must be part of something else because something seems to be missing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I guess i will just have to ask my teacher tomorrow because it seems very odd.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for your help though, I appreciate it :)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

okay hannah :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opposite rays means they are coming from a common point but goes in opposite directions. So the common point is J|dw:1377221572317:dw|
