a particular line has x-intercept at 6 and y-intercept at the origin 1) write an equation of a line perpendicular to the above line that passes through point (-6,-3) 2) what is the slope of the line: -3/4x-1/2y=10 [the slope = 3/2] 3) P(3,6) Q(-1,-2) where does the line intersect the y-axis ? (i just need help for number 1 and 3)

OpenStudy (mandre):

Can you write the equation for this line: "a particular line has x-intercept at 6 and y-intercept at the origin"

There's a problem with this question. |dw:1377233042722:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain to me what the problem is please

OpenStudy (mandre):

If you draw a line from x-intercept of 6 and a y-intercept of 0 (the origin), the line will lie on the x-axis. The equation of the line will be y=0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, i understand. so for #1 how would i set that up ?
