Quick question: What level of calculus is this?
integral is normally second class, but double integrals may get introduced as late as calc 4 in some places. but really its calc 2
What is the answer?
@zzr0ck3r I am taking applied calculus, just wondering how hard this will actually get :)
much harder than this:)
Double integrals are easy depending on the kind. A calc 1 student could do basic ones like you have. But at least where I am, it's calc 3 material.
this is like teaching someone a+b (the normal integral) and then asking a+b+c(the double integral)
I guess the answers you are going to get will be different where I am from calc 1 = differentiate calc 2 = integral calc 3 = series calc 4 = 3d
I'm a business major, I'm pretty good at math and I have never taken a calculus class (Precalculus if you can even count that). I have to take applied calculus to get my A.A, and is this just going to be very hard or..
Me: calc1 = differntiate, integrate calc 2 = more integration techniques, intro to DE, sequences and series calc 3 = 3d + some more DEs
so 200 level math can be very hard or not so hard...it all depends. Some applied calc is very easy, some can take you a lifetime....im sure it will be hard, but at 200 level math it can only get so abstract....you will be fine
At my school, you see way way way more people coming in for calc 1 tutoring than calc 2 or 3. Ive only had a maybe 3 or 4 calc 2 students ever that Ive had an appointment with. People get to that level and usually theyre good enough at math by that point that they get it or can figure it out.
Or they gave up:P
