how can i figure if |x| = 6 is always sometimes or never true?

well an absolute value means that we are basically finding the distance from zero for a variable x. Since a distance cannot be negative, the absolute value of a variable will always be positive. The only way abs(x) can equal 6 is if x=-6 or 6. I think you can figure it out from here.
