Triangle ABC is located at A(-4,5), B (-4, -1), and C(-1,1). A translation of the triangle is located at A’(-1, 7), B’(-1, 1), and C’(2, 3) by moving two units to the left and three units up . True False @kaylarocks001
alright let me show you by drawing it
Okay :)
i have to go i am srry but i have a couple of people help you @dmezzullo @JA1 @Jasmineflvs
okay :)
dunno sorry :c
:c its okay
Before we translate triangles, let's just translate points. can you translate the point A(-4 , 5) err three units up and two units to the left?
peter try graphing it and having her graph the translating back
I can't rely on my skill in drawing T.T
I'm bad at graphing, but quite good in analysing :) All you need to know is that up and right mean add while down and left mean subtract. So to translate the point A(-4 , 5) three units UP, then add 3 to the vertical y-coordinate --> (-4 , 8) and now, translate that two units to the left, means take away 2 from the horizontal x-coordinate --> (-6 , 8) which is not A' ^.^
so its true?
For it to be true, A' has to be (-6 , 8), which it isn't.
In fact, A' is a translation of three units to the right and and two units down...
err, up, I mean.
Yes thanks I know am sure that the answer is True
Is this a quiz?
No its homework my teacher wants me to do so I can take the test
