Factor 3x^2+11x+6
use quadratic function..
More help, please?
Quadratic formula: http://c3e308.medialib.glogster.com/media/9c/9c086d138ebf82ce79c28f346c00bdea499a80b29a8ebb91f65e97f1fff25b22/quadraticformula.jpg Your given: a=3 b=11 c=6 plug it in the quadratic formula.
Try grouping: \(3x^2 + 11x + 6=3x^2 + 9x + 2x +6=3x(x+3)+2(x+3)=(x+3)(3x+2)\)
I got the answers (-4/6) and -3
I got the right answers now.
Perfect!
Thanks for the help!

What about 9x^2-25?
You should see the 9x^2 as a (3x)^2 and 25 as 5^2 to rewrite your equation as (3x)^2 - 5^2. But why would I do that?
a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b) That's why.
Okay I will.
What do I do after I rewrite it?
That will be your factors. You can then set (a+b)(a-b)=0. This will be the case when either a=-b or a=b. When you plug in a=3x and b=25, the two answers will just pop out.
*I meant b=5, not b=25
