I had posted in LaTeX --- probably should post here: MathJax uses a TeX/LaTeX syntax, and is designed for doing math-on-the-web... can we use it for the math questions/answers on this site? If not, is it in the list of upgrades? Here's documentation (it's a big page): http://www.onemathematicalcat.org/MathJaxDocumentation/TeXSyntax.htm Here's the MathJax page: http://www.mathjax.org/ Thanks!
\[\text{Don't we already do?}\]

I thought we already do - as mod said. Machida, can you try this on a PC/Chrome?
Yes I can Madam preetha.
or are you asking for latex update?
I think he hasnt checked it yet Modphy. :) @OneMathCat check this one :)
or you can use

Our for inline \(\LaTeX\) use `\( math goes here\)`. So `\(\LaTeX\)` makes \(\LaTeX\) inline with what you are typing.
\(\backepsilon\) `\backepsilon` works, so AMSsymbols are installed. \(\binom{n}{k}\) `\(\binom{n}{k}\)` works so AMSmath is installed. \(\frac{\cancel{x+1}}{2\cancel{(x+1)}}\) `\(\frac{\cancel{x+1}}{2\cancel{(x+1)}}\)` works so that document is outdated (says cancel does not work). \(\ddot \smile\) Have fun! And you can actually right click any math element to Show the TeX Commands used to make it.
Okay!! It DOES work! Fantastic! Single dollar signs don't work: $\frac ab$ but double-dollar signs DO WORK: $$x = \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$$ (I'm used to single dollar signs for inline, and double for centered math.) Thanks, everybody!
@e.mccormick I fixed the "\cancel" entry in http://www.onemathematicalcat.org/MathJaxDocumentation/TeXSyntax.htm and re-uploaded to the server. Many thanks for pointing out that error.
put a \ before the dollar sign \(\huge\ddot\smile\) \(\Huge\$\:\to\) `\( \Huge \$ \)`
not sure if you meant that though xD
@thomaster Nope. `\[ and \(` methods of \(\LaTeX\) are MathJax artifacts. The real triggers are `$ and $$`. @OneMathCat Funny. I emailed you about it too.
@thomaster Oh, and her \(\LaTeX\) tutorial makes your look anemic. Did you click the page OneMathCat \(\tiny{\textrm{(Dr. Carol JVF Burns, PhD in Math and a long term math educator)}}\) linked?
