(2 - the square root of 5)(4 + the square root of 5) someone please help!!!
Any ideas?
honestly no. i suck at square roots, well really only when they are in equations. so to answer you question, no. i am useless:)
wait, won't the answer end in the square root of 5 since they both end in that?
$$(2-\sqrt5)(4+\sqrt5)$$ Let a=2,$$b=\sqrt5$$and c=4
okay
(a -b)(c + b) now use FOIL
ac+ab+bc+bsquared?
-bc
ohhh yeah sorry missed the negative.
-b^2
okay i may sound really dumb right now but whats with the little triangle?
It is the symbol for "raised to" -b^2$$-b^2$$
otay
ummm.. alright so i know that youre teaching me and whatnot but i have no idea what to do next
$$ac+ab-bc-b^2$$
okay well i just did some research and guess who foung her answer. this chick!!! the answer will eventually be 3-2the square root of 5
well thank you bunches. may you live well and be prosperous.. oh wait thats weird.. thats star trek... well anyways thank you:)
