Let f(x) = -4x + 7 and g(x) = 10x - 6, find f(g(x)).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-40x + 24 -40x + 31 -40x + 64 -40x + 70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one is a little tougher, but the idea is the same. Plug in 10x-6 everywhere you see f(x) (since g(x) is the argument and g(x)=10x-6). You'll need to be careful with parentheses and you'll need to simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean, everywhere you see x in f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it -40x+31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ig0p0g0 so it -40x+31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hep plz @stupidinmath

OpenStudy (zpupster):

-4(10x-6)+7 -40x+24+7 -40x+31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you're good in this though (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And yeah, right
