Algebra 2 help please!
You have \(f(x)=\frac{3x+2}{4}\) Where \(x=number \phantom{.} of \phantom{.} texts\) and \(f(x)=\)The cost of all those texts. So they tell you that she has 24 dollars. This number represents "The cost of all those texts" So to how many texts that is (which is your x), Replace "\(f(x)\)" with \(24\), and solve for \(x\)!
but it has to be in the inverse?? so don't i have to put it in inverse form and then.. Put x in for 24?

You would have \(\frac{3x+2}{4}=24\) And then solve for x
x would be your number of texts for 24 dollars

Not necessarily! You could do it without inversing anything! Just solving or x! \[24=\frac{3x+2}{4}\] \[24*4=3x+2\] \[(24*4)-2=3x\] \[\frac{(24*4)-2}{3}=x\]
And then you just calculate the numbers to find x!

Oh and this is just a heads up! If you get a fraction like I don't know like \(x=25\frac{1}{3}\) (Which isn't the answer before you get excited ;-) ) Then you know that the person can make a third of a text so you would just round down to \(25\).
