Find the lateral area, total area, and volume of the triangular pyramid. (Picture attached in next comment)
For some reason I can't attach the picture from my iPad x.x But literally it is just a three sided triangular pyramid with each side length as 4. That is including the length of one base side.
draw it!!! the picture is a part of question!
I can't, because whenever I type in my response it won't allow me to attach any files. Could I send a screenshot to you in a message or email?
Hope that works!!
yes it works ;) just wait a moment...
Thank you so much!! You have no idea how much this helps!
what is the m of high?
I don't know. That's what I've been trying to find out.
@ivettef365 , @AkashdeepDeb
I think they can help you :)
Thank you ^^
Do you know what the area of a cone is?
It's a pyramid, not a cone. Completely different formula.
I know! :) But do you know the volume of a cone?
And the only thing that I know honestly is the slant height, and I believe that is 4sqrt2
I don't. Can you walk me through it please?
Excellent no problem!! :D The volume of a cone is actually 1/3rd the area of the base multiplied by its height! :D 1/3 * pi * r*r*h Got it? :D
How does that relate to the pyramid?
I'll tell you. [PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE] :D But did you get the cone part?
I understand, but I don't know how to plug it in.
Okay no problem! See all these kinds of shapes have ONE COMMON TRAIT! If its a cone, a pyramid, a square or pentagonal pyramid they all have a common volume formula! Which states that the volume is 1/3rd the base area times height! :D Got this?
@gravi-made ?
I understand! XD I'm sorry, I'm currently in school right now- but I'm trying to work on this too. I just got to my other class @AkashdeepDeb
