\[b + c =\frac{ 10 }{ a }\] solve for a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does b and c stand for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They don't stand for anything. I just have to solve for the variable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply both sides by a and divide both sides by (b+c): \[\frac{ a }{ b+c } (b+c) = \frac{ a }{ b+c } \frac{ 10 }{ a }\] \[a = \frac{ 10 }{ b+c }\]

THAT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE!

sorry, caps was on
