can someone please help me?

A scientist found a hominid fossil that appeared anatomically to be that of Homo habilis. It was found, however, in a rock layer that suggests it is only about 150,000 years old. Based on this, he wants to publish a paper asserting the fossil shows that Homo habilis lived much longer than thought and was contemporary with early Homo sapiens. Which of the following should he do to build a stronger case before he publishes? Convince other scientists to support his conclusions about the fossil. Look for evidence of cave paintings at the site where he found the fossil. Find out how old the fossil actually is using radioactive dating. Look for similar fossils in the same rock strata.

@Ryaan do you know this?

Look for evidence of cave paintings at the site where he found the fossil.

@aaronq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay i thought it was the last one. thanks.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hm in my opinions all are good answers (except the first one). But i would choose to use a radiometric dating technique to find how old it actually is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you would say C??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:o

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Go with your own choice @lolaloka

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh alrighty thanks. & im just so confused lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Yeah, i would say choose the option you think it's best, because i might not be correct. Why i chose that answer is because in the question is says "suggests that it's that old", which isn't satisfactory to make it a fact.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay yea ill go with that cause i have no reasoning for the one that i was thinking .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks to the both of you!(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks to @aaronq

Also, by supporting your idea with more evidence, you're making it more credible. no problem guys !
