Calculus:The tangent and Velocity Problem a.) The points P(1,0) lies on the curve y=sin(10pi/x): 1.) if Q is the point (x,sin(10pi/x)), find the slope of the secant line PQ (correct to 4 decimal points) for x=2, 1.5, 1.4, 1.3, 1.1, 0.5, 0.6 ,0.7, 0.8, and 0.9? Do the slopes appear to be approaching a limit?
i would use a spread sheet, but wolfram would do
want me to put one in for you to see?
the point you have is \((1,0)\) so the slope will be \(\frac{y_2-0}{x_2-1}\) or just \[\frac{y_2}{x_2-1}\] now we replace \(x\) by \(2\) and get this
now leave it as a template, but replace \(x\) by \(1.5\)
lost another one...
