Someone please help me! I'm willing to learn this and I'm really struggling to finish algebra 2!
Okay guys, so how do I go about finding point A from the launch pad! I'm relying on you guys to help me learn! I'm a bad self educator :(
Pick 3 points to fly thru .... label them A, B, and C
the rest of it is really just busy work to see if youve got the concept of the different forms of a line equation
Okay, honestly I'm clueless of line equations. So i can create 3 points of my choice, (1,2) (3,6) (4,8)?
(1,2) is already picked ... you might want to pick something else instead of that one
say (2,3)
finding the equation of a line amounts to finding the slope between 2 points, and then attaching it to one of the points ....
the slope between 2 points is just subtraction, followed by division: take the 2 points (2,3) and (1,2), subtract one from the other (2,3) -(1,2) ------ (1,1) , and then divide the y part by the x part: 1/1 = 1 in this case
so for a slope of 1, lets attach it to one of the points .. I pick the point (2,3) (y-3) = 1(x-2) the rest is just moving things around for the proper "form" they are asking for
Do you use this to find the slope? or to move into proper form?? x1 = 1, y1 = - 4, x2 = -4, and y2 = 2.
i dont rely on formulations ... simply because they are a lousy way to organize the data. I tend to place wrong values in the wrong spots. So I organize the data in a different way to get to the same results
I have to be heading out at the moment, and wont be back online till tomorrow. There is alot of information to cover for this assignment, and I simply dont have the time left to address them.
Okay in standard form i need to determine the equation of the line from the pad to A & I understand that xD just got me a little mixed up cause we've learned things different'y. and okay thats fine. thanks for the help.
Alright so putting (Y-3)=1(x-2) into standard form now, & then i can use that from launch pad to point A?
