Well m<RTS is basically the angle of measure. Now to have the ray TR perpendicular to ray TS you need to make it 90 degrees|dw:1378253526515:dw| So to do this ....make it an equation .... instead of m<RTS.....turn that to 90 and solve...does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Spectrum would the equation be.. uhm.. well i can guess but i seriously doubt im right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the 2 rays ...or ends ...to be perpendicular they have to be of a right angle or 90 degrees so in the equation m<rts has to be 90 ... 90 = 8x + 18 ...you need to solve for x in that equation because m<rts has to be 90 u can put that in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh i think i see how to do this..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright go ahead and solve for x and tell me what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x = 9... then...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats correct :) gj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! uh.. so is that it? or..? haahhaha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Spectrum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thats the correct answer ...haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the value of x needed would be 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay.. hahaha sorry i didn't know where to stop lol thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem

:)
