Endoscopes have the ability to withstand extreme conditions and when these conditions are favorable, the spores germinate and produce a thriving colony of bacteria. Its because of the endospores it produces. Endospores survive harsh conditions and then germinate when the environment is suitable.

My teacher gave me a long explanation today about your question. We were correct in that the bacteria's ability to produce toxic endospores is what makes anthrax so dangerous to humans :)
