I mean, I have found out the cost, and revenue, plus the profit. I may need to revise my breakeven point. I have to make only one graph and put in two lines. One line which is the C(x) and the other line is the R(x)

It's just, I only got the Y-intercept= which is 48,000

I see what you did. The only thing is unless you're only doing it for one month, that may not work.

So if you wrote C(x) = 48,000 + 8x R(x) = 14x Then that was correct. The only thing is, you're going to need to sell a lot of units to break even the first month.

R(x) = C(x) 48000 + 8x = 14x

Yes. I wrote that. As I am looking to the answer, to check on the breakeven formula, there was 8000 units and $112,000, but I do not even know where those came from.

Now you can graph, since you know what x is supposed to equal

Just make sure the graph matches your algebraic results

So we know we need to sell 6000 units to break even.

Right! I had to plug in 8000 to the x. Wow, I didn't even think of that.

The question asked you to graph it, that's why. But you should still try to solve algebraically whenever possible.

I plugged it in, and I got $112,000 as the breakeven.

They never mentioned it, but when you have something like this, you can only figure graph it for the first interval, which, in this case is one month. If you tried to do it for two months, the graph would no longer be linear.
