a gas tank on a dock has a small puncture and is leaking gas at a rate of 1cm^3/min into a lake. it forms circular slick that is 1mm thick on the surface of the water. a)find the amount of gas leaked as a function of time b) what is the radius of the slick a a function of volume c) what is the raduis of the slick as a funtuion of time
Im on question b
im getting r=sqrt(v^2/pi(0.1))
\[r=\sqrt{v^2/\pi(0.1)}\]
sorry v is not squared
but online answers show it as being pi(0.1)h which is weird cuz 0.1 is h am i wrong?
any help appreciated guys
no v is not squared and yes .1 would be the height in cm
cuz this one website the guy solves it to be sqrt(v/pi(0.1)h)
so i was wondering if im missing something
http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/Functions/Functions.faq.question.202485.html
this is where the guy keeps using h and its a pretty legitimate website
when he writes pi(.1)h he is just showing that the .1 belongs to the height
do you have to plug the values in or just solve. r=sqrt.(v/pih)
