how do i do p(a)= a(squared)-5; find p(2a) and please do it in steps because i need help with a bunch of these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All you do is plug in 2a for the a. So p(2a) = (2a)^2 - 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for the first part is it 2ap?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it is p(2a) because that is just a form of notation, not multiplication.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so would the answer be p=4a^2-5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like just the a squared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes except proper notation is p(2a) not just p.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh i see thank you so much for your help will definitely give you a best response so much gratitude
