f(x) = 2x - 2 g(x) = x + 4 Find (f - g)(x) Functions Help!

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Just subtract them. :D THAT IS IT!! :D Understood? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2x-2 - x+4(x)?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Haha.. No that x is not multiplied to it.. It is the result of another function... (f-g)(x) [IS ONE FUNCTION like f(x) and g(x)] So just subtract 2x-2 -x-4 Understood? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's it...just subtract them...for addition. multiplication is different.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 6 @AkashdeepDeb

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

2x-2-x-4 x-6 That is it!! :D 6 is not the actual answer.. If they had said (f-g)(0) Then the answer would have been x-6 or (0) - 6 = -6 Understood? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooh ok so -6

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

NO!! :D The answer is x-6 Because they have said (f-g)(x) Understood? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-6 gotcha!
