How to dual boot Fedora 16 and Windows 8 given that I only have Fedora 16 iso file?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

You can boot an ISO from USB, make a CD/DVD of the ISO, and there are other choices.

OpenStudy (alienium):

or you can install both (Windows always primary)

since you have windows 8 already on the system. It would be easy to directly install it on the PC. Create a partition and install fedora 16 on it, and when you installed it and when the system boots up the grub window shows you which os you want to boot.

Actually, it looks like you may need to change some settings in the machine. If the the manufacturer used UEFI: \(\textbf{Fedora}\) \(\textbf{16}\) \(\textbf{will}\) \(\textbf{not}\) \(\textbf{load}\). It does not support SecureBoot. You would need a newer version of Fedora or to turn off UEFI on the machine. Here is a post by one of the Fedora developers about where in the Fedora chain that SecureBoot is added: http://mjg59.dreamwidth.org/12368.html

Thanks everyone. I decided to install a virtual machine on my laptop instead, and it works. :)
