Can someone please give me examples of the four different types of plot structures. Using books or a movie please so that I can understand it better.

The four types of plot structure are: exposition, complications, climax, denouement. The exposition of of a story is the explanation or introductory, generally towards the beginning of a story. The complications of a story are like everyday problems: makes them upset or otherwise. The climax of a story it the tipping point, the straw that breaks the camels back so to speak. And finally, the denouement. Sounds complicated but, it honestly isn't. It's just the resolution, how the complications are solved and what it took to get there.

Oh! I forgot to use references, sorry. So I know this may seem childish but, you know how in Sesame Street each character always introduces themselves or one another? That's the exposition. And In Winnie the Pooh, Pooh Bear ALWAYS runs out of honey. Well, that's his complication, his problem. Whether or not it's the fact he eats too much or he always runs out of honey is the question, haha. Hmm, climax. You know how in EVERY single action movie that suspenseful music that plays when the good and bad guys are fighting? That's the climax. The climax is always right before the resolution. And when one of them is beat, that's it. The problem is resolved! I hope this helped.
