"What is the [K+] when 55.3 g of potassium carbonate is dissolved in 1 L of solution?" what does this mean? [K+]?

OpenStudy (psymon):

Any context? Like where did you see it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just added in the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does it mean the molarity of Potassium>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I figured out the answer, but it was by guessing.

OpenStudy (psymon):

Oh, okay, we're talking elements here. [] means "concentration of". [H+] is concentration of hydronium ions, etc. SO looks like itd just be concentration of potassium ions. But yeah usually in reference to molarity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! Thank you :)

OpenStudy (psymon):

Yep :3
