Do you know the formula for the area of a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A = Pi x r^2

OpenStudy (psymon):

Right. So the 2.5 in your picture, do you know what that represents?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r (radius)

OpenStudy (psymon):

Alright, cool. So that means you just plug it into the formula: \[\pi(2.5)^{2} \]Im sure you could do that oin a calculator or something :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got, 15.7

OpenStudy (psymon):

Odd. If done correctly you should get one of your 4 answers, I just checked. My calculator came up with it just doing pi(2.5)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, I think I calculated it wrong. I got 19.625

OpenStudy (psymon):

There ya go xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, A. :D

OpenStudy (psymon):
