OpenStudy (yttrium):

opposite/adjacent = 8/6 = 4/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Yttrium huh

OpenStudy (yttrium):

do you know the socatoa?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes o ok i got it thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1378731992514:dw| the angle of elevation from L to K measures 24 degrees . if kl=19 find JL. round to nearest tenth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Yttrium

OpenStudy (yttrium):

I think you must know first the angle JLK. You know how to find it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i gave you all info

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Yttrium

OpenStudy (yttrium):

Yes but you can solve for that that is 90-24 = 66 degrees. After that you can use tangent law. Got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Yttrium no

OpenStudy (yttrium):

Well <JKL = 66 defress because it is complement of the angle of elecation. With that, you can use pythagorean identities to solve for JL. Since we know that, cosx = adjacent/hypothenuse we can substitute the given cos<JKL = JL/KL which means cos66=JL/19 which also means 19cos66 = JL. With that, you can solve for JL. :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still lost
